​New exciting growth and changes!!
As many of you know, our goal with this business was to make holistic veterinary care accessible to Berry Hill clients and also new clients. We now have several options that should facilitate this goal!
- We visit you - we can come to you for a fair travel fee - our new schedule starting in January is most Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
- You visit us - staring in January, we will be at Cloudberry Lane Animal Chiropractor on Fridays. A great option if you want to save on the travel fee and your pet is ok with the travel. Also, if you have an appointment with Dr. Clara and you would like to see us before or after that appt., please let us know and we will try and facilitate it.​

More exciting growth - We have acquired a mobile vet clinic RV from Blue Door Vet. This means that we can provide anesthetized procedures, surgery, on site bloodwork and microscopic diagnostics, and dentistry.​​

​You can still find us at Pine Point Animal Hospital, but I am only two days a month as they have two new full time veterinarians on staff!
​
Please contact Dr. Penny's directly for any patient that has been seen by Dr. Penny's and not an active client of Pine Point Animal Hospital. Likewise, if your pet has been seen by Pine Point Animal Hospital and not through DPVC, please contact them directly.

You can find Dr. Trish Roisum at Oswego Veterinary Hospital and she is still doing wonderful work at Compassionate Care.

We will send appropriate estimates and plan for our visit - our goal with coming to you is to minimize stress and anxiety with "vet visits" but please let us know if anxiety is likely and we can help guide you on how to reduce it to have a productive visit

Dr. Jacobs and an assistant will aim to start the appointment within a 15 minute window of your scheduled time

We will perform a thorough exam and the other appropriate tests and treatments on site - we can perform sample collection and most testing on site including x-rays and some bloodwork - we can also perform medical procedures similar to what a regular vet can accomplish with the new RV.

We will ask for payment when the visit is completed and work with Care Credit and direct Trupanion Insurance payments - check, cash or credit card are also acceptable

DR. PENNY
Meet Dr. Penny Jacobs: Your Compassionate Veterinarian
​
Dr. Penny Jacobs, discovered her passion for veterinary medicine after initially pursuing a degree in computer programming and statistics in a business school. Switching paths, she attended the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, where she developed the education and skills to provide quality veterinary care.
​
After starting her career in Athens, Georgia, Dr. Penny moved to Portland and helped relaunch Berry Hill Veterinary Center while training in Acupuncture (IVAS and The Chi Institute) and Chinese Medicine-based Food Therapy. Dr. Penny is passionate about offering a unique and comprehensive approach to pet health, care, and nutrition. She practices with a truly holistic mindset including catering her recommendations to client's lifestyle and abilities while minimizing the stress for everyone with staff members trained in "fear-free" practices.

She also works closely providing veterinary care to a cat sanctuary called Wildcat Ridge Cat Sanctuary ( https://wildcatridgesanctuary.org/ ). They are an accredited private sanctuary providing excellent care and a forever home to over 75 cats of all sizes.
